I originally started work for Highbury in 2016 as an Accounts Assistant and, after a brief departure, was enticed back into a role that was hugely different to anything I had done before - HR and Business Support. My current role of Accounts and HR Manager brings new challenges with it every single day, and I have realised I am capable of a lot more than I thought I was!

At Highbury Homes I have been given the opportunity to progress, and the space to realise my potential and to make a position my own. If I need support in anything it is readily available, as is the chance to talk over a coffee.

After returning to the UK, I found work at Highbury Homes in the position of Customer Liaison Assistant. I was very nervous, as building work and the world of insurance was new territory for me. But I had no need to be. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful.

My knowledge of the building trade rapidly grew and I progressed to the position of Contracts Manager within 5 years. In this position I have been able to use my organisational skills, along with team building, and management skills to grow as an individual and up-skill with the help of training courses and support of colleagues.

I enjoy working for Highbury because it’s like one big family. The office staff treat you like a human being and all the lads work really well together. There's always somebody available to help with any issues that may arise with any of the building trades and the training of health and safety is always being checked and updated. Highbury Homes are a pleasure to work for.

I've worked for Highbury Homes now for a few years, starting off as a Multi Trade Operative, and later on asked if I would take over as a Drying Technician as well as multi trade - attending claims and setting up the right drying equipment that's required to dry out properties.

The company is a good company to work for, you are not just a number, and everyone is known by their first name. My manager is a conscientious leader and treats her team members really well.

I hope to work for Highbury Homes for as long as they want me too.

I’m glad I joined this company. I first started with Highbury Homes as a Multi-Trade Builder but I explained that I had a bigger mindset and goals for the future.

Because of the training and time invested in me by Highbury Homes, I am now a Building Surveyor/ Estimator. This company likes to promote from within the business and will always have opportunities available for you to better yourself.
