Our story

From humble beginnings as a family-run company of home builders in West Yorkshire, to award-winning building refurbishment and maintenance specialists, offering the complete building solution to deliver high-quality project management and efficient in-house building services; Highbury has come a long way.

On the back of exponential growth, we proudly added additional regional offices to the Highbury family, in Cheshire in 2010 and the North West in 2022, to further support our clients' needs across the Insurance, Social Housing, Residential, Commercial, Education sectors and more…

Despite this expansion, we remain firmly committed to our family values at Highbury, proudly continuing our culture of a friendly, family-run business that looks after both its colleagues and customers. Professionalism, reliability and trust underpin everything we do.

Furthermore we're hugely proud of our community and charitable work, supporting local charities: Overgate Hospice, Forget Me Not Children's Hospice and Lighthouse Club Construction Charity.

Highbury showed empathy and understanding from start to finish of my claim journey. Times were tough when I had no kitchen ceiling and Highbury acted quickly and efficiently to rectify this for me. I was always kept up to date by the great office team and the works completed were spot on!

Due to the impact the flood had on my hotel we had to close for a period of time, which for any business is not beneficial. However, Highbury Homes acted quickly and efficiently which resulted in the opening of the hotel being much earlier than anticipated which we are all so grateful for. My hotel is back in use and in an even better condition than before which returning customers have complimented on.

We cannot fault Highbury’s service from the day our claim was processed to the very end. The team acted quickly on beginning the repairs to the school and met our needs by conducting all repairs out of school hours and in school holidays at our request. The extent of damage was excessive and for Highbury to complete all repairs within the timeframe given was impressive and much appreciated. This meant our students could return to school following the summer break with no disruption.

Highbury Homes have been nothing but helpful for me and my husband. We are both elderly and don’t have great mobility which resulted in us struggling to get out to choose our material choices. A member of the team very kindly visited our property to assist us with choosing our paint colours online. We are very grateful for all the support received throughout our claim journey and wish to thank the team for going above and beyond at every milestone.

Throughout this difficult time of my property suffering excessive storm damage, alongside being a full-time carer for my son with a disability, Highbury have made this experience as stress free as possible. All staff were extremely helpful and polite and we couldn’t thank them enough for always going above and beyond for both me and my son.

Highbury Homes have been fantastic. After what was a difficult experience for me especially with my health issues, the staff at Highbury made my journey as easy as anyone could wish for. Whilst the work was ongoing, I had to move out of my property due to my health issues and I lived in alternative accommodation for a short period of time. The team understood my circumstances and acted quickly and efficiently to complete the repairs to my kitchen. I am over the moon with both the service received and quality of workmanship and we highly recommend the company. I am now back in my home and making good use of my brand new kitchen!
